Annual Celebration Rugby League Dinner

The 2011 Celebration of Rugby League Dinner will take place on the 2nd July 2011 , Long Bar, Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

Places are priced at £25.00 per head and can be booked either individually or as a table of 10 or 12 seats per organisation.

    Presentations and Entertainment:
  1. Our chief Executive Gary Hetherington will MC the dinner.
  2. Q & A with Brian McDermott and a first team player.
  3. Attendance of stars from the past.
  4. Live music
  5. Contributions from well known personalities.
  6. Presentation of the Leeds Rugby Foundation life time achievement award.
  7. Recognition of the Cities achievements from all organisations within Rugby League.
  8. The John Holmes memorial award.

Nomination and Selection Criteria for the John Holmes Memorial Award.

John Holmes was a tremendous servant to rugby league, Leeds Rugby League and the city of Leeds. In honour of John Holmes and his service to the game and his city, Leeds Rugby Foundation are humbled to present details of the John Holmes Memorial Award which recognises the invaluable contributions made by volunteers to the continued and successful development of the rugby league annually. The 2nd presentation of the award will be made at this years Celebration of Rugby League Dinner on the 2nd of July. John had many great attributes within his personality, with this in mind the criteria of the award will follow those great attributes and all clubs and organisations should be mindful of these when selecting their nominee.

Clubs, organisations and associations involved in the running and development of Rugby League are invited to send in Nominations based on the following criteria:
    Criteria as follows;
  1. Honesty
  2. Trustworthy
  3. Team player
  4. Integrity
  5. Reliable
  6. Hardworking
  7. Humble
